We want to bring a personal touch back to the practice of veterinary medicine. We believe the veterinarian should have a close relationship with their patients and owners so we can work together to ensure a long and happy life. We strive to educate our clients so that they can make the best decision for the quality of life of their pet and themselves. Every animal is unique and each has its own needs. We believe that exceptional care is not just on who provides it or what is done, but how it is performed and its integrity and honesty.

Dr. Jean Quaintance and Dr. Theresa Kaeser established Versatile Vets in 2017 together as partners to practice veterinary medicine in an unconventional way by coming to you. We offer affordable and comfortable care in your home and will also consult with you with any questions or concerns you might have. Our goal is to help you with any needs you have for you and your pet. We will work together as team to decide the best course of action for a long and happy life for your furry family members.

Practice Owner, DVM Dr. Quaintance was raised in North Salem, NY, where she rode horses competitively and worked at the local foxhound kennel. She graduated from the Wooster School in Danbury, holds a B.A. from Colorado State University and received her DVM from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Quaintance has been a veterinary technician since 1994 and a veterinarian since 2006. Her interests include surgery, dermatology and of course, bulldog medicine. She enjoys spinning, running, and chasing her toddler all over town and has a coffee obsession.

Practice Owner, DVM Dr. Theresa Kaeser grew up in Seymour, Connecticut. She attended University of Connecticut receiving a Bachelor’s in Animal Science and received her D.V.M. in Prince Edward Island, Canada at the Atlantic Veterinary College. During breaks from school, she was a dog groomer and veterinary technician. She started practicing as an associate immediately after graduating in 2012, and after 3 years decided to venture into relief medicine of which she currently does now. She loves to spend time with her fiancé Jay as well as their fur kids, Canon, Marcus, Syd, Tillikum AND a Flemish Giant rabbit named Anna. Theresa has a special interest in small animal dermatology and quality of life care. She is also fond of small mammals (especially rabbits) and wildlife medicine. She mainly focuses on client education and making the best most practical decisions for her patients. When she is not practicing, she teaches parasitology to future licensed veterinary technicians at a community college. In her spare time you’ll find her traveling around the world, running in the woods, watching Disney movies, enjoying Mother Nature and happens to have a huge obsession with owls.
